How this calculator works
Estimated monthly earnings are page views multiplied by click-through rate, multiplied by cost per click: earnings = page views × (CTR ÷ 100) × CPC. The annual figure is simply twelve times the monthly one. RPM (revenue per thousand impressions) is monthly revenue divided by page views, scaled to a per-thousand basis It is the metric most ad networks quote earnings in.
Worked example
50,000 monthly page views at a 1.5% CTR and a $0.20 CPC works out to 750 clicks a month, $150 in monthly revenue ($1,800 a year), and an RPM of $3.00.

Frequently asked questions
What is CTR?
Click-through rate: the percentage of page views that result in an ad click. A 1.5% CTR means roughly 15 clicks for every 1,000 page views.
What is CPC?
Cost per click: the average amount an advertiser pays each time someone clicks an ad. It varies by country, industry and advertiser competition. The tables on this page give rough ranges for both.
What is RPM?
Revenue per thousand impressions. It is monthly revenue divided by page views, multiplied by 1,000. It is how ad inventory is usually quoted, and lets you compare earnings across sites of different sizes.
Why do CTR and CPC vary so much by country and niche?
Advertiser demand is not evenly distributed. Countries with more advertiser competition for the same audience tend to have higher CPCs, and the same is true for higher-value industry categories such as finance or business services versus, say, games or reference content.
Is this an exact prediction of my AdSense earnings?
It is an estimate. Actual AdSense payouts depend on many more factors than page views, CTR and CPC alone, including ad placement, seasonality, viewability and Google policy changes. Use it to get a rough order of magnitude, not a guarantee.
